I had never heard the word Totality until I followed the April eclipse.  As the Moon passed across America, Nasa had different earthbound crews reporting the moments when the moon passed in front of the Sun and the excitement in their voices as they shrieked Totality was captivating. But also the stillness that took place, how quiet the crowds went and even for the scientist, many seeing this for the first time. All reduced to stillness. Afterwards I saw this image and realised I hadn't thought of how the shadow would look. I did though see the mark I had been exploring, best in black, that I wanted someone to feel as though they were falling into, a black hole in colour and gravitational pull for the observer. Or that's what I hope for.

Clouds out on the Horizon I began the day Mrs Perreé was buried.
