After the April Eclipse which I followed on Nasa's Youtube channel, I saw a variety of images and one was these multitudes of crescent light beams that shines through trees.  The tree leaves act like a pinhole camera does, defracting the light and creating  a multitude of individual eclipse 'images'. I had chosen the crescent shape in my earliest work as a mark worth exploring since it allowed for the unexpected, a form or colours that you only can see if you make the mark. It allows for chance and to see these pin pricks of light shimmering crescent shapes is quite a wonderful surprise and gave me more confidence to explore these marks here on Sark this Spring.
