What next area will the digital person explore? I think that the exploration of gender could be fundamental to the digital person. The paradox of the analogue and digital age is that where the analogue world was held in binary division, the digital world could be fragmented and allowing for a range of identities. Perhaps even to shift in the course of a person's life. It was in underground clubs where minority groups of black and queer people danced out a new consciousness that hoped for acceptance. An ideal for the world outside of those clubs. The internet allowed minority groups to connect and communicate and feel part of something other than isolation. I wouldn't be surprised if in a few generations there will be a fluidity in how gender is lived.
