I think of these paintings as a time marker of this moment when we are crossing from the analogue to the digital world. Never again will this be possible as digital tools will continue to alter and change what it is to be human and the analogue tools will recede. We painted the animals 30000 yrs ago before we altered and lay waste to much of the natural world and perhaps this time, what it is to be human will go under such transformation. By using my thumb and fingers I wanted to show what is possible within anyone's fingertips. That our curiosity and need to create remains within us even if we will change so much. More than I can even imagine.
