A friend of mine began to use Cambric Cloth 7 years back and it is a wonderful medium to paint on.  It is tightly woven so holds the paint on the surface. It is also not coarse which I found restricts you to make a mark. I want these paintings to be thought of like a panel of rock cut out and painted on. An object though not taut by being stretched but able to float with the wind that may ride through a home. You can adjust them. I used a steamer to remove creases. This is better than ironing as the hot air fluffs the cotton and causes it to dry a little stiff.  Ironing 'melts' the cotton surface, or so it seems to me.  The hangers are clamp hangers and I like how unusual they are but also how usual they are with their association with cloth.
