I visited the Guston Exhibition in London in late 2023.  It was quite an overwhelming sensory experience and what a range he painted throughout his life.    He did make me realise how little I consciously understand about why/how I paint and I sense that will become clearer to me in the years ahead. However Alien Worlds may be the first time I am painting on a theme, to take the different patterns and shadow marks of the Moon around us and transfer that into abstract form. I hope you take in the marks of the work.   The large works I think more of as paintings where as the smaller ones are almost like studies. I shall return soon to larger works having gained knowledge through the studies but I also wish to push on and try for figuration which I find quite intimidating. But that shouldn't prevent one from trying
