I designed this interactive section as an accompaniment portal for the Island Hall Exhibition One | Zero. I wanted the phone to be like a 1980's Nintendo Donkey Kong controller. Turn your phone to landscape and you can then tap the icons, revealing different thoughts and ideas about the motivation behind the exhibition. I hope this adds to your experience.
Scroll down for the list of paintings within the exhibition. On each page within the interactive section you can use the icon buttons to view thoughts or a video of the painting or links to vidoes that expand on the idea of the individual revolution.
Please be aware that there are large files to be loaded when viewing images or videos and it may be slow to come into focus or play.

The names I have given to the painting come from a friend who shared a ChatGPT poetic outpouring on Japanese Wallpaper. Sometimes these Artificial Intelligence programs will go off piste and deliver some quite random outpouring. However the more I read this and fed sentences or phrases back into ChatGPT, the more I realised the program is trying to reach for something. click on link above for the whole expressive piece.
If you danced in clubs and felt elated joy at the sight of the sun at dawn, then this exhibition is for you. I can only say thank you to the black and queer pioneers of House Music . For a guy who grow up in apartheid south africa it made a huge impact on my life.
